My First Craft Show: Application

If you follow me on twitter you likely already got wind of this, but I'm pretty excited about it. I found a craft show recently that happens locally twice a year. There is one a week tomorrow, right before Mother's Day and another one in early December so folks can do some Christmas shopping. I was tempted to apply for the May version, but then all the realist reasons presented: I could be having a baby that day, there is no way I could make enough product in time, I don't have time to get all the supplies and things needed (i.e. displays and things). So I decided to apply for the December one and see what happened.

And.... I found out yesterday morning I was accepted!!!

It's called the 30 Craft Market, and the idea behind it is that high quality handmade products don't need to be really high priced, they can be affordable. And with all items $30 or less, I can imagine I will be doing some shopping also.

They are very specific on their categories because they don't want one category over represented. So jewlery was already full, and so was cards (something I will be adding to Knotted Tree). So I'm left with hand hooked items, like coasters and trivets,

and some sewn items like my totes and boot beanies.
So let's just say I'm pretty excited! So I will be busy while I'm off of work and figuring out how to be a mama. Like I wasn't already going to be busy enough, I figured it would add a new experience to the table. But that's just how I roll. I'll try to pop in once a month and let you know how preparations are going for it. And I can add other items to the list, I just have to check with the organizer to make sure the category isn't full. So depending on how some of these preparations go, I might add a few other items :)

I have another day off today, and I have a few things I want to get done. But after a small melt down last night Reggie was pretty adamant that I try to relax today. So I have a little crafting on the menu, and some movie watching and that's about it.

I hope you're having a lovely Friday! It's almost the weekend friends :)

  1. You are just a busy, busy bee! I second Reggie's suggestion that you take it easy for a little while. BUT, I am so excited about your acceptance to the craft fair. That is sooooo fantastic!
